As promised at the meeting last week, here is the official invite:

I will be firing up the smoker early on Memorial Day to do a little smoking. The food will be served between 3-4. I would like to extend an invitation to anyone who will be in town to come out and join us for the afternoon and partake in some "Q". Just give me a shout via email or phone (214-893-9171) for directions. We live in Melissa, just north of McKinney.

Thanks for the invite. Lori and I are probably going to try and make it.  BIG decision however .. on the Valk - will limit what we can bring to the festivities .. in the cage - no fun.  Maybe we can fill the saddlebags with twinkies!

Kinda feel like I am cheating on HotGlue, but surely he doesn't expect me to go without all year! See you Monday. ~Jeff

Haven't had the pleasure of eating any of HotGlue's BBQ so I've got to say that Flyboy's Q is probably the best in TEXAS!  The company was pretty darn good too.  Thanks again Charles.

Not just another pretty face - that FlyBoy! I didn't want to like it as much as HotGlue's, but the boy has skills. Didn't have that burned cardboard taste of HG's firebox (historical reference). Thanks much for including us as family, Chaz.

My camera phone caught Sly napping. Does that GodFire have a beautifully shaped head or what? Yes, Mel and Roy are still in the "honeymoon stage". Not pictured are Jean, Janet, Lori, Kevin, and Charles' upper body. ~Jeff

You're right Tom, the company was fantastic! Thanks Charles for all the hard work and some wonderful BBQ.  It was good to see Jean again, hope mom is doing much better. Melanie has decided as long as a bathroom is handy, we're a lot of fun to hang out with! coolsmiley

Thank you, Paula & Charles.  It was great to get out and hang with the VRCCers.  And the food - Wow!  Truly some of the best BBQ I've ever had.

Thank you Charles and Paula.  I know you both put in a lot of work on the gathering yesterday.  the food was most excellent.  It great seeing friends I haven't seen in a long time, and those I see more often.  The VRCC rocks.  One of the greatest bunches of people I know.

Mom is doing much better.  The drainage has stopped, and she is beginning to gain strength.

Paula and I would like to thank everyone who came out. We had about 70 people out for dinner. Sorry I did not get to sit and talk with y'all anymore than I did but I know y'all got to visit plenty. One of my neighbors turned the corner and wondered how much of a BAD ASS you had to be to ride one of those beautiful machines. I'm glad that everyone enjoied the food. You never are 100% how the meat is going to turn out, thanks for all the compliments. I'll let everyone know when the next Q will be.

Sorry we missed it Charles.  It was a tough decision between BBQ with you and the VRCC and a Caribbean cruise.

Carnival won out.
