Placed an order last weekend for a shadow lowering kit and a piece of Valkyrie Trim,  Called Monday,  Called Tuesday, No Reply either time,  Sent an email finally got a call back Wednesday AM,  nothing had been done with the order,  I told them to cancel the order as i needed it for Friday Evening,  after going back and forth,  we came to an agreement to cancel the valkyrie bling, and only send the lowering kit,  as that was all i needed!  It added an additional 20 or so to shipping alone.  So with nothing done on this order prior to my call I still got NAILED with a restocking charge equal to about 35 % of the Valk item, the customer service was HORRIBLE.  So for what its worth I would suggest AVOIDING this vendor at all costs.  I am really sorry I did business with them, and will NEVER choose them for anything again.

I got about the same treatment as you got.  I ended up having to file a disput with paypal to get my money back.  They flat out wouldn't respond to any type of communication untill paypal got involved......then all of a sudden, it was like they were my best friend.  Got my money back.....good redance.

+1, but I fell for their assurance of immiment shipment the first time and cancelled the dispute.  I had to threaten it again a month later.

Order placed December 19, refund received mid-February.  I had to initiate all communication except within hours after the PayPal dispute was filed.

I had the same horrible experience with them and will never order from them again. I don't know how they even stay in business.

A representative of Scootworks contacted us requesting registration that he might give his side of the OP's story.  Although I've no interest in promoting a continuing dispute between a customer and a vendor I told him that to be fair I would post his email telling the vendors side of the story.

I've no personal experience and I am not endorsing either side of this disagreement, but I think it can do us all good to see that oftimes if not always things just don't look the same from different vantage points.

Here is the vendor's email:

Hi Brad,

As they say, there's always at least 3 sides to every story and you can't
please everyone, no matter how hard one tries.

You ordered on Sunday. Our site says "usually ships in 3-5 days". The phones
are crazy busy this time of year, so perhaps you didn't get through. On
Wednesday, it was already picked, packaged, and had shipping applied. When
we spoke stated you had to have it by Friday, though there were no such
notes in the comments section of the order, where the system asks for info
about special shipping requirements, etc.

You purchased a lowering kit for $124.99, and a Valk front bumper that was
on clearance for $25.00. You got the promo discount of $10.50 on top of that
which brought the price down to $139.49. The bumper is a big piece (big box)
and the system calculated your shipping to be $21.05, making the total
$160.51.

You cancelled the bumper and wanted express shipping on the lowering kit.
You got a discount on the bumper you cancelled, the price was actually
$23.72. We ONLY charged you a 5% restocking fee on that one part ($1.20) -
leaving your actual credit at $22.52.  Your express shipping you requested
was $30.00. From that $30, we deducted 21.01 that you had already paid for
shipping, leaving a total of $8.98 owed to us. Since you had a credit of
$22.52 for the bumper, we deducted this from the 8.98 owed to us, leaving
you a credit of 13.54, which you were given via paypal on 3/28 (same day).
We shipped in 3 business days as advertised, you paid a $1.20 restock fee
for the person having to pack, unpack, repack in a smaller box, do the
paperwork, cancel the previous shipping (that takes 2 weeks for us to get a
refund on), re-prepared your order for Express shipping and get it out the
door before the evening pickup.

I'm not sure what kind of calculations you came up with to get a 35%
restocking fee, but I don't see how this kind of service makes us a "bad
guy".

Sincerely,
Dave Hockaday

Perhaps it's a little bit more than a little ironic that after Paypal got involved with my dispute with them, that same Dave fellow is the one that responded to me and gave me the same sob story about the phones being "crazy busy this time of year".....no one in the shop to answer the phones....everybody's working to fill orders.....just got back from a rally......covered with orders......blah blah blah.  Sounds to me like it's his stock answer to ignoring customers.

Again....and for whatever reason the guy can come up with (and he had plenty of reasons), they didn't/couldn't/wouldn't respond to emails or phone calls untill Paypal got involved.

Perhaps others have had plesant experieces with those folks, but I'll never do business with them again.
