ehhh it was ok, I just hope that the future of mankind isn't being held in the hands of future super models (oh shoot I broke a nail!)

however Denise Richards took a shank through the shoulder, nearly a sucking chest wound and walked it off at the end  2funny

It's the most ludicrous, over the top piece of sci-fi ever made (not including Avatar). The Nazi allegories alone are hysterical (the World Federation is centered in Brazil  2funny).

But that's why I like it. With Verhoeven (who also directed Robocop and Total Recall) you always know what you're getting.

There will never be another Arnie. He could make the most ridiculous premise watchable. Think about it; replace Arnie with some generic action hero from the past 30 years in any of his movies and it just would never work. Conan with Lou Ferigno? You can hear my lamentation at the very though from where you are. Commando with Jean-Claude VanDamme? It would just be an unwatchable mess. Terminator with Steven Segal? Please. Predator with Brian Bosworth? To paraphrase that very movie; "GET TO DA EXITS!" The only 80's action star that could even touch Schwarzenegger would be Stallone and he still worked out of a different wheelhouse.

Conan, what is best in life?powered by Aeva

Bruce Willis sort of took the torch from Arnie but that was a bit later. I will say that the first Die Hard can stand with the best Arnie movies though. Totally unbelievable action, NFW moments to spare but you just didn't care because you were having too much fun.
