I had the pleasure of meeting two members of the VRCC today.

Bon S was traveling in to pick up a front tire from Gary H.   I was speaking with Bon early in the week and discovered his route was going to be taking him very close to my town so we made plans to meet.  Which we did, then traveled East to hook up with Gary H.  Here a couple pictures....Great day for a ride, although mine was a mere 90 miles.  Bon's will clock in close to 475 miles.  The lengths we will go to for our rides!!

With a towel, some tape and a few bungees, Gary and Bon "mounted" the wheel on the back seat of his Interstate.

Both had very nice Valks.   Way nice.  Made me have a bit of chrome envy!!

I'm impressed, a cycle tire strapped to the backset of the cycle?

Most I ever bungee corded to the backseat was a 24pk. of pop and a pizza hut large pizza on top of the diet coke.  Fits pretty snug!  Best 35 bucks ever spent so far on my cycle was the contoured black rack bag on www.wingstuff.com is aftermarket made, but the velcro on it strapped to my rear chrome luggage rack works excellent and fits very well to hold larger bulky light items like a jacket or 3-4 bags of chips.  Only issue is the black cloth fabric faded pretty bad after my first summer last year leaving it on all the time during work.

Thanks for the pics Gordo! It really wasn't about the wheel as I could have coerced Gary into shipping it to me. Rather it was about a beautiful Spring day on my motorcycle and making a good day great by being able to meet a couple of great guys that happen to also be fellow VRCC'ers! The beautiful ride across Missouri this morning was only eclipsed by my ride home this afternoon. Many thanks to Gary and Gordon for their hospitality and great company. And a very special thanks to Gary for the "loaner/donor" wheel.  cooldude
