this morning I was hoping to roll up to Gainesville and get my wife out of the hospital. nope she's still in the critical care unit. the neurosurgeons came by and I'm not sure why they get to spread the unhappy news but there is a growth in her neck and a small 4mm spot on her left breast. the only thing that concerns us now is the chunk in her neck, the stroke was mild, a physician even told her she will most likely regain full control of her right hand ( they are normally VERY pessimistic). the lump on her breast has not a chance in this world of staying there for long, it's almost unfair. however the lump in her neck is so intertwined with blood vessels not a surgeon would touch it. depending on what it is there may be things they can't do for it. not even considering it at this point, we had our cry and now we are moving into the positive attitude phase. gonna smack it around, kick it to the curb, trounce it even!
so now the biggest question in the world; 'is it malignant?'
we don't get to find out for a few days, time is in slo-mo for me I'm staring at the clock and I swear the dang second hand is froze.........

There is not a lot that I can say other than I have been there and my wife has made it not cancer but heart failure do to a virius. I know these are the longest days and the mind just can't process all the emotions the doubts and the what if that are coming at you right now. Lean on friends and family even though it's hard because they are supposed to lean on you. Lots of prayers coming your way.

I'm sorry to hear of this development. We'll be praying for the best outcome and that the "hits" will come to an end.

last fall my brother had a tumor removed from his brain. it was dead center, 20mm diameter. he went to Lyola University Hospital in Chicago. had it removed, and went back to work this last January. it is amazing what they can do now a days. i wouldn't give up hope yet. ten years ago my brother probably would have been told that there was nothing that could be done.
hang in there.

Sorry to hear it. She's lucky to have you. There are times when the best thing anybody can do for someone is to love them. What ever news you get, that will help her through it. Thoughts and prayers from Texarkana.
