1st let me say we had and XXXXXXtra large time!!!!!!  It was Great seeing our friends!!!!!!
After the GOTF... cleaning up and powerwashing everything...LOL...  we had a day to relax on Monday with the rains....
Tuesday we took off on the bikes with Don and Tracy from Virginia, and rode to F'burg!!!!  Now these folks live in the mountains of Virginia... and have twisties in their back yard....  Here on the coast... there are no twisties....  well not with in a couple hundred miles...LOL
We took back roads to F'burg and spent the night..... then the next morning, down 16 to Kerrtown....  then rode 337, 336, and 335!!!!!! the 3 sisters!!!!  the roads and wildflowers were a KNOCKOUT!!!!!  Was proud ta share some of our finest roads with friends from Va.!!!!!
Spent the night in Kerrtown.... then to the Alamo... did the turist thing... down on the riverwalk.... over to the mercado and ate at Mi Tierra....  then headed to the casa....
Got up this morning and went to San Jacinto battleground and monument...What a great bit of history to share with friends....If yer a Texan... and haven't been there....GO!!!!!!
Thank again for making the GOTF a special time!!!!  WoooHooo!!!!!

You've had a busy week!  (thanks again for SUCH A GREAT TIME at the Gathering)  We are heading out today to view the BlueBonnets around Ennis...there were several notable fields that we passed on the way home, and this appears to be one of the better spots near Big D.  Glad you enjoyed the Sisters...that was a beautiful ride even without the flowers, so it must have been wonderous this season.  BB are gonna be out in force this year.  YAY!

Wow!  It is so cool that y'all gave the Virginians such a great Texas tour!  Don and Tracy are indeed very lucky to have had you two as guides! cooldude

FYI, I used to ride my bicycle to the San Jacinto Monument and the Battleship Texas via the Lynchburg Ferry.  The last time I was there was a couple of years ago and I ended up going to the top of the monument...above the observation floor, through a hatch on the roof that opened to the star on the very top.  Was able to film some reclaimed marshland from that advantage.
