1st let me say we had and XXXXXXtra large time!!!!!!  It was Great seeing our friends!!!!!!
After the GOTF... cleaning up and powerwashing everything...LOL...  we had a day to relax on Monday with the rains....
Tuesday we took off on the bikes with Don and Tracy from Virginia, and rode to F'burg!!!!  Now these folks live in the mountains of Virginia... and have twisties in their back yard....  Here on the coast... there are no twisties....  well not with in a couple hundred miles...LOL
We took back roads to F'burg and spent the night..... then the next morning, down 16 to Kerrtown....  then rode 337, 336, and 335!!!!!! the 3 sisters!!!!  the roads and wildflowers were a KNOCKOUT!!!!!  Was proud ta share some of our finest roads with friends from Va.!!!!!
Spent the night in Kerrtown.... then to the Alamo... did the turist thing... down on the riverwalk.... over to the mercado and ate at Mi Tierra....  then headed to the casa....
Got up this morning and went to San Jacinto battleground and monument...What a great bit of history to share with friends....If yer a Texan... and haven't been there....GO!!!!!!
Thank again for making the GOTF a special time!!!!  WoooHooo!!!!!

Wow, it sounds like your GOTF was a complete success again but a lot of work for you and Charlene.
Mark, you certainly have more 'go' than I have.  The ride with Don and Tracy was the icing on the cake, sounds like!

I'm going to try for a more modest agenda this season. I'll try to get as many quality rides in that I can but they will be quality rides, quantity rides seem to have slipped past my capability.  Selling the comfortable Valkyrie and going to the Vstrom has been somewhat a challenge even with the much reduced weight of the Strom.

BTW,  I hope that the Jetx is helping in cleaning all the bugs off the Valk and the Spyder.  I wouldn't be without it here.

Sounds like you had a great after-event ride; much older and wiser bro.

It was great to see you two again, as well as the many others. I'd missed a few in between since my last and it was great to catch up with several.

The event was a great success as anticipated, thanks for all of your hard work and efforts.

I had the chance to visit with some friends from the old western OK hood on my way out to your place. Also made a stop off at the Spoetzl Brewery.  cooldude

I missed the Alamo and Kerrville country but did get to hit Big Bend and Carlsbad Caverns, both on my to-be-visited list, on my route home. A great trip all the way around.

Thanks again for the invite and letting me share in the very large time.  Grin

AAAAAAAAh the San Jacento Monument, and the Battleship texas.  Back, that is waaaaaaaay back when I was a young buck, spent a lot of time out there.  Usually always had a convertable, preferrably a 50 Ford, and used to take all the girls out there at night for some real intense sweat sessions, only thing is the skeeters were fierce with the top down and your stuff exposed. That big phalic symbol all lit up at night never failed to excite them.  Loved to explore the Texas, and drag  some old gal through the gun turrents and such.  Thanks for the memory jog, hadnt thought of that for years.
