Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

When did you get the bike? I think the battery might have alot of japanesse jiberish on it. I saw a battery that did and I think it was a Valk battery. Or you can change it to be safe. I did after reading chrisj's post. Mine has been in for 5 yrs or so. Better safe then sorry.

most replacement batteries have date coding on them somewhere, look for that and if you find one go by the date.

I fried my original Yusa battery with a firkin Battery Tender.  It forgot to shut itself off when told so by the momma board.  When I use it now, the light is red and when it turns green I take it off the battery.  Then about 6 weeks later I plug it in again.......

My stealer didn't have one in stock the day I went looking, they gave me the lame excuse they just sold the last one as I came in the door.

Since I pick up batteries almost every Wednesday I work for the dealership at Interstate Battery, I stopped over there and they had one and with the dealership discount, I got it for a pretty good price.

Haven't looked back, and it still spins the old boy over after he sets all winter with enough fire to make him start and idle..........

Yep, the Interstate bike battery is a Yusa.  They always have them in stock at our local Interstate Battery depot here and like you said the price is not too bad.
