I got rear ended Friday night, looks like I'll need the outer trunk lower shell for my IS. Anyone know if they can still be had? I am ok, but the trunk and saddle bag rails are messed up. The left rear lights were pushed in and the ABS around them busted up. I am told if I could find just the outer shell that it's about 5 hours to take the busted one off and swap the new one back on. I see some complete trunks on E-bay.
Thanks guys.
OH and the CT and Corba pipes are a hoot on Big read.
Guess new pictures are in line.

Took me a minute to realize that you have 2 Valks - since the one in your sig pic isn't an IS trunk!   laugh

Yes, the lower part is still available, but expensive new.  You can get it from Honda for anywhere between $970-ish and $1400-ish, depending on your paint scheme.  I'm guessing this one is for the black bike, so it's probably the cheaper.

I don't work for this company, but they're nearby, so I can order parts online and pick them up there instead of having to pay shipping.  Shop around - you will find that there is some variance to what you'll pay for OEM parts, and you can save some $ if you spend some time.

Yep I am dumb enought to keep two of these bikes. and if it was totaled I just get another one. Yep its the black IS in my profile picture. Honda direct line parts shows it for 901.00. As long as his insurance is paying shipping doesn't matter. There is not close to South Florida.

Looks like the they are available, your price through HDL is $749.67, if you order a black one from HDL, once you get it take it outside and check the color in the sunlight, they tried to sell me one a few years back and it looked good under the flourecent light, took it outside and it was originally a red one that had a very bad black paint job. And this was suppose to be new in the box.

Ok well his insurance has paid, and the parts are on order. Looks like I'll do fine with the adjusters amount. Thanks for the links.
