Don't know if you have tried the search function or not. Try it using "raked trees" and a lot of posts come up. I don't have any first hand knowledge to offer but I do know a few have gone with xf-6 trees and that would be another excellent source of info for you. Free bump at least!

Daryl installed a 6 degree triple tree on my Valkyrie at Inzane 10.  I love it.  It's almost like adding power steering.  I run with a MTC Voyager kit on mine due to severe back problems and needed something to help me out in curves.  The rake kit was exactly what I needed.  I still have to put a little work into handling big curves, but it made a huge difference in how much and regular curves are a breeze now.  Daryl is definitely the man to talk to about them.  I know he sells a 6 degree and an 8 degree triple tree.  I hope this helps.

Here is mine with the rake kit installed.  I just went on to his site and he also has a 4 degree kit.  I don't remember him having that when I did mine.

This is the first time I've seen another Valk Trike on this site. I'm not alone, LOL  Grin cooldude

I have a 6 degree rake on mine. Made a tremendous difference!

rmrc51 there are a few of us out there.  I know that at the Inzane 11 I saw several.  Trikes make it a whole lot easier to handle riding for those of us with disabilities .  The 6 degree is what I had Daryl install on mine too and it does make a huge difference.  Makes me wonder why I hadn't done it before I did.

My hip was what drove me to a trike. When I first got her, she didn't have a rake. Talk about heavy steering! After a year of riding around the general area, I finally had the rake installed. It was one of the best upgrades I've done!

Maybe we'll be able to hook up some time in the future as you're north of me in Front Royal. I'm just outside of Charlottesville.  Smiley

Two observations:

1)  If you haven't you haven't been paying attention.

2)  If you truly haven't before, you still haven't.  That's not a trike.

1) That's very possible with the memory I have.  Undecided

2) I know,, I know,, he has a voyager kit on it. Close enough in my book, lol.  Grin

Willow yeah I know I cheat cause I've got four wheels on the ground, but I think I'm close enough.  Want to feel something cool, try going around a tight curve and get one of your wheels airborne.  That takes some getting used to!  No matter what, at least I'm still riding my Valkyrie.  Otherwise I wouldn't be able to ride.  I sure as heck couldn't afford the big $$ they want for a true trike kit.

I have Daryl's 4 degree trees on my I/S and absolutely love them! Big difference in Low speed handling. Very stable. Fantastic quality.

glideman, yes, you can raise a wheel, but I'll be cursed if I'll follow you for very long.     In Indiana at one of the CBR's, I cursed near got took out by a bike on that Voyager setup.     Was running like 4 or 5 lengths behind him, we hit a curve, he popped a wheel off and then ended up all over the road.   I sure was glad I'd had some defensive riding when I worked for the CHP.   After that he was last, I wasn't following any longer.

RJ you can say what you want about those kits. I've been riding on this one for several years now and have ridden it from VA to Inzanes 8, 10, and 11. That's not including all the riding I do around here, and have never had a bit of trouble with mine. Of course, I give my a good check-up every few months to make sure everything is tight and working right. I'll stand by the engineering. I'm not sure what the problem was with the one you were following. Maybe just some poor maintenance or someone that didn't know how to either install it right or ride with it. I've seen many of them with a lot of miles and no problems.
