Wow Brian, never knew!  Hope you don't mind a funky little poem....

Even though its been 9 years,
He can't hold back the tears.

Every April comes your birthday,
Sadly, it also was your death day.

That day was supposed to the best,
Instead he had to lay you to rest.

He loved you before he met you,
Without ever hearing your coo.

He still thinks of you each day,
but especially on this April day.

Happy Birthday little Matthew,
Daddy sends his love to you.

I am sad... for the situation.

I am glad that you are to a point where you could share that with us.

That means a lot to me... and says a lot about this group of people here in this club.

They say everything happens for a reason and I guess I believe that.... but sometimes it's beyond our comprehension to figure out why...  I hope some day you can understand why for the peace that might bring.

The memories never go away and they shouldn't - but I hope you've been able to move on alright over the years.   Thank you for sharing with us.

And Connie - wow- nice poem....those gnats are in my eyes.

Thoughts and Prayers to you and family Brian in your loss.

As said earlier, this happened for a reason, what that is, we may never know.

Sorry to hear.  My wife had a daughter, Isabella, in her first marriage that was born premature at 23 weeks and only survived 1 day.  That was 17 years ago and it still affects her.
