I'm working at buying a pull behind trailer from a guy in Plant City (between Tampa and Lakeland) if it goes through might be riding down in a few days to pick it up. Will be running down I-75 any road work I need to know about.

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

None that I'm aware of, but I haven't driven that way in awhile.......but I75 from about Valdosta, GA south to the Florida Turnpike is 6 laned......and the portion south from I10 from around Lake City south to the Florida Turnpike can be pretty white knuckle driving at times.  Alot of stupid people on vacation drive that road that can't wait to get to Disney Land...along with alot of newbies driving tractor-trailers that probably should've paid more attention in driving class before they got behind the wheel.  Check out the all damage done to all of the guard rails along the way and you'll see what I mean.  The south bound lanes always seem worse to me than the north bound lanes do for some reason.

Whenever I drive south, I avoid I75 like the plague if at all possible.

Kind of of the beaten path. Due west of Ocala on I-75 about 40 miles. Inglis Fl.
Have a garage apartment for you to catch a good night or two break.

Door is open if you decide to stop by !!!!

Either way give me a shout and maybe hook up.

Are you riding two or four wheels?

I'm not set on taking I-75 it just looked like the most direct route but thanks for the input guys. Rick I plan on riding unless the wife decides to make a long weekend out of it. I might take you up on the stop over. Looks like you are about 110 miles from Plant City 662 miles from my house. However we decide to make the trip would love to hook up we you guys. Once I get things worked out I will drop you a pm.

I am about 7 miles from plant city. There is a lot of construction from Sr 54 north of Tampa down to I-4, not a bad drive, just some rough surface, and different heights on the pavement. And some bumps that will jar your spine, drop from new pavement to the old . Makes for an interesting ride on a bike. Any thing I can help with give me a call. Cell 813 three four zero 72 nine six.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you’re in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Thanks for the help on my trip down to FL. After reading through the comments I have decided to take I-65 down to Montgomery, AL and get on hwy 231 down to I-10. I-10 over to hwy 27/19 drop south to Ingilis, FL. Have fun with some friends on Friday night and ride on down to Plant City the next day. Odessa (my Valk) is ready for another road trip.cooldude
