Hi all,
I picked up a low and high tone pair of car horns. What do I need from a wiring standpoint to make this work? What have you guys used as brackets. I am debating as to whether I should mount them underneath or in the same spot as the existing horns. The current horn has two plugs both the 12 volt horns have only one.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

If there's only one wire on the horns, then that is power and they ground through the mounting bolt. I would power them through a relay triggered by the original horn wire. Fred.

BigBF has installation instructions for his quad horns on his web site. There's lots of detail about the electrical part of the installation that should be directly applicable... http://bigbf.com/bigbf_shop/bigbf_horns/index.htmI enjoyed pouring my four "car horns" out of a box along with an already made up wiring harness and Valkyrie-specific mounting bracket and following "stick tab-a into slot-b" instructions -Mike

Car horns are ugly; hide them under the swingarm. +1 on all previous posts.

I have Big BF's quad horns on MGM. They will wake up the dead and scare the sheet out of old gray haired ladies that can see too well.
Oh, they under the bike in the swing arm area.
PS: I have replaced one pair of horns with a pair off of a Mopar unit. The Mopar's are a few decibels louder than Bill's. If I can find another Mopar in the salvage yard I'll replace the other 2 and really wake up the world.
Don't get me wrong here, Bill's horns are excellent, I just wanted something a little louder, remember, I'm used to a siren clearing the road for me. If I could get by with it, I'd add a yelper to MGM, I know that will even get an LEO's attention.

Gregg,
Still planning on doing that. Thought I should get the parts before I showed up.

Have fun guys! Let us know how it all turns out. I have a Stebel air horn on a relay circuit that works well for me. Anything is better than the OEM beeper.

Anything is better than the OEM beeper. +10 on the Stebel... it's what I affectionately refer to as "stupid loud." 99% of the time, it'll even stop a cage from coming into my lane on the highway where the noise from a horn can easily get lost at 70mph. The reaction from cages in city traffic... especially if the lane changer has his or her window down, can be down right entertaining.

+1 on the BigBF quad set up as I installed them last month. There's nothing like opening a box and having everything needed to get the job done correctly.
All the best,
Mark
