I umpired youth ball for 15 years. I often wondered the same thing about Baseball and cheerleaders. Why not?
I was an Umpire for the CABA 10 and under World Series years ago. Had about a 6 year run while the Series was in the area. It's no longer in this area. Anyway, this was a high caliber Series with teams from all over the country including Hawaii, Samoa, Puerto Rico, and Texas. Ten year olds playing like freakin pros. Pitching from 46' away with comparable pitch speeds of 90+ mph. (The time from release to plate was the same time frame of 90+mph pitch from 60'6") Whoosh! Puerto Ricans would throw unbelievable curve balls from hell.
But the best part was
Texas always, ALWAYS, had the best Moms. Definitely lots of secretarial material. Our umpiring crew always looked forward to Texas. Particularly when they played other southern teams who brought well qualified Secretarial pools.
But Texas was always best.
Yup, they should have cheerleaders. I think they do in Japan Baseball.
Wonder what their secretarial pool is like there? Oss?

Yes, it is a Japanese Baseball Cheerleader. Man, you'da thunk we'd have figured out Baseball Cheerleaders first.

Ain't no grass on that infield.
Me? I'm a Red Sox fan. It's time to embrace the horror.

Boxer rebellion, the Holy Child. They all pay their rent. But none together can testify to the rhythm of a road well bent. Saddles and zip codes, passports and gates, the Jones' keep. In August the water is trickling, in April it's furious deep.

OMG! Even the Koreans are ahead of us in Baseball Cheerleader Technology. Where is Congress? Why are they wasting time with steroids in baseball. What about the lack of Baseball cheerleaders? Baseball cheerleaders and kim chee. Love kim chee too! At 2:17 is proof their umpires are blind. Not even a look.
