I wanna know just exactly how in the h3ll you other folks got the frikkin thing outa there. crazy2 When it finally did come out of the area it lives in i have zero ideas HOW it came out. uglystupid2 When the rebuilt one i will order from M A R S (thanks Hoser)shows up hope IT falls in like the other one fell out!! 2 days of messin around with it i grab the Honda repair manual and then the Clymer repair manual and after killing bout 15-20 mins away from the hassle i go back put hands on it and out it comes. cooldude And B T W it went out at 57659 miles-in the parameters i've seen posted. Wink Sooooo we shall see when the rebuilt one gets here. Little more info-i tried a local starter/altenator repair service-he weren't interested. Struck out at Oreilly auto parts also. And $551.00 fer damn sure ain't in my budget. Roll Eyes Thanks fer lettin me vent. tickedoff RIDE SAFE.

You are not the 1st one or will you be the last one to cuss that SOB out taking it out or putting it back in.

I used the 97 Aspencade alt when mine went South for the summer.   Was on the road and this Honda shop I went to for parts had one in stock.    It was all dusty and stuff, so the dealer gave me a 30% off discount.   Made that one very much less expensive.     It took me 3 hours to remove and replace.

Alternator option is about 3/4 the way down and on the right column after the blowers parts listing.

S S -R J and fudgie-I did larn some new cuss words!! 2funny I'm gonna go with a rebuilt from M A R S. When i get somewhat ahead 2funny 2funny 2funny i'll look into a spare to carry with me. My funds are gonna be strechted way thin til AFTER Inzane this year. crazy2 I'm the old fart that has a 17 year old daughter at the house. cooldude Between proms and airline tickets she be kickin holes in my ridin budget and my bling budget. coolsmiley But i duz love her very much. Cool Well really am lookin forward to gettin the rebuilt alt back and installed. Wink I've got some road testing to do on that Shinko S E 890 i bought.
