Dunlop Elite 3 tire pressure question...
«

I had to go with an Elite 3 on the rear of my Valk. I have always ridden the Avon so I have no experience with recommended tire pressure.
Any advice would be helpful...thanks!

Was told by the Tire installer to run at 44psi on the Valk to prevent goofy tread wear. So Far So good..

42-44 Rear and 40-42 Front, but I only get 10-12k out of them.

44psi rear seems right along with avon cobras. I personally run 38psi tops in front since 40 or more psi runs too rough/firm for the front tire and 38 psi in front runs much smoother over bumps in the road. Plus, I feel I am heavier than most at 275lbs. and the rear tire if riding 2-up especially 44-45 psi would be helpful. Plus, the rear tire will wear more quickly than the front tire so hoping the lower psi in front will make the front tire come close to be replacing at same time as rear tire. Will know in 2-3 years when need replacing again.

yea tire preshures..................a good rule of thumb is READ THE FREAKING SIDEWALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the tire manufactuers that made the tire knows best at what thier tires are rated for for psi. have we all forgotten the firestones on the ford expidtions with the deadly blowouts from improper inflations? but do what you want its your choice just like wearing a helmet
