some may remember of my post about carpal tunnel pain in my right hand. well, had surgery on the 4th and what a bitch it has been. not a "lot" of pain but not being able to do the things with two hands that now you have to do with one.if you stop and think about that you will see what i mean. try to do some things with one hand , ie., blow your nose, tie shoes, buttom levys, cook, wash dishes, i think you know where i`m coming from. today is a little better because, my friends across the street gave me a 5th of jack for my birthday in the middle of march and today i un-caped that bitch. not to pour a drink but set it beside my recliner in it`s natural state, right out out out out of the bottle. did i say out of the jug ??? any way, a lot better day than i have had in two weeks. i hope i can get up-right before the lady gets home today. no, i did not drink all allallall of the "jack" tomorrow is another day.
BTW, carpal tunnel syndrome is not fun for a bike rider. "jack" is another story.  crazy2
typing with the wrong hand, sorry.  Embarrassed
ride on and enjoy. cooldude

Personally do not know how bad it is to that degree that needs surgery, but have some issues with my hands in that lineup since I 10-key and type a lot at work at times feel tingling and numbness in my hands/fingers if I key a lot.  I know a few ladies at work who have had that surgery done and although rough at first, has paid off for them in the long run. Hang in there, it should get better shortly.  Even though the Valk is smooth as silk, I get a tingly sensation/numbness in my right pinky finger while driving my cycle if constant grip for more than 30 minutes at a time.  I'm sure with age it is going to get worse.  At even age 26 many years ago, my right arm went limp and numb and tingly with pain and found it to be locking of my vertebrae in my neck needing a chiropractor to unlock my bones/joints in my right shoulder/neck so the nerves could flow back down to arm, scary stuff.   Some of it could be genetics though (doubt it though) since my Dad had severe spinal cord surgery 3 times in his life age 50-55 and was forced to retire at the young age of 55 unable to walk decent pretty clumsy as well.  He had no feelings in his arms nor legs pretty sad to live life like that for 30+ years of his life.  He always told us you don't know how bad it is to live life like he has had to live for so long and to see him cry over it at times really upset me.  Good luck!

Wow, this sounds totally opposite of my experiences. I had one side done back in about 1997 and the other done about 4 years ago. In both cases, I was driving a car within a few hours and riding my Valk within two days. I tied my own shoes that day as well as fastening buttons, zippers, and belts. As a matter of fact, the only thing I didn't do was press on the arms of chairs to stand up-that hurt. Undecided

I have had a few wrist surgeries and know they can be trying, don't make the mistake of comparing your surgery to what others may have experienced. Each person and each surgery is unique to that person and recovery is always different. Follow doctors orders and  it will get better just give it some time. Before long you will be able to pull up your pants and zip just like old times... lol    cooldude cooldude cooldude

boy, i wish. i have a cast up to elbow and can not move thumb. fingers ok. dr. removed a bone at the base of thumb and replaced with a tindon from arm. there are a "lot" of storys about this kind of surgery, you have to live your own. thanks for all the views.
btw, i`m keeping "JACK" in the closet for today....  Wink
