The Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka were just finally defeated after a civil war of 26 years that killed 10's of thousands of innocent civilians.  So, who had it right and who had it wrong?  The rebels?  The government?

The secession movement in the US is bull$crap... and unless you have a brain the size of grape shot you might ought to realize that.  All you have to do is remove the federal impact in terms of programs, military bases, NASA, defense contractors, and a lot more... and then figure out how the newly minted 'autonomous country' survives... and you will see that it will never happen simply based upon economics... never mind the fact that just because a few fanatics want separation the US is much better off as a whole.
