Thumper I too have been fighting cancer for the past 8 years. First was Prostate, had PSA of 22, got Radical surgery for that one, then it was Peritonal Mesothelioma, Had a very rough time, major debulking surgery and removal of every organ I can live without, followed by Hyperthermic chemo, about 10 hours in surgery. Gave me 4 years, and then it returned, just underwent another round of the surgery and hypothermic, only about 8 hours this time. On Chemo now and this time it is hitting a little harder. I dont believe in the Docs estimates at all, and think they just set you up to give up. If I get another four years, it will be great. If it returns again and if its possible I will probably do a repeat. At my age I just dont know, especailly if the POTUS health care plan is not killed. I refuse to give it an inch, and reject it with all my will. It does tend to drag you down over an extended time, but never get discouraged or give in to it. I truely do believe Prayer and attitude have a tremendous positive effect. You have to be proactive and controll your own situation. Dont be afraid to question anything the Doc says or does. I will be praying for you and winging positive thoughts your way.
Your story humbled me. My fight has been tough but nothing like your's. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I feel a real kinship with those of us that are involved in the fight.
Good luck my friend.
