Hangin' out here beats a tree on the head any day!

« on: April 19, 2012, 06:40:01 AM »

when i crashed my Valk....i toasted my saddlebag rails. i knew those were going to be kind of hard to find...and probably somewhat pricey. when enquiring in a post here on the board, 777kingsman saw my post and PMed me. he said he had a set of mint rails....off a bike he was taking parts from...and they could be mine for the right price.

here's just part of the reason i wanted to take the time to thank him PUBLICLY:

1. he could have set the rails at a higher price....cause OEM rails are not going cheap...and good ones are kind of hard to find. BUT HE DIDN'T....he did me VERY right in my mind. I owe him a thanks for that.......

2. he could have NOT WAITED...when i asked if he could wait until i heard from the insurance adjuster...to see if the bike would be totaled....would i get it back....get to fix it...etc. BUT HE WAITED....until i said ok, let's do it.  i owe him thanks for that!

3. he could have taken his time to ship when i finally did say ok, let's do this. BUT HE DIDN'T. he went down THAT same day....within hours of me saying ok let's do it...and shipped them

4. he took the time to pack them REAL good.

5. they came a day earlier than he promised them

6. he said they were mint....he said they just had some tiny imperfections on the bottom of the back rail from rocks, etc thrown up from the rear tire....   THEY WERE PERFECT....other than those tiny nicks he spoke of....that you coudln't see unless you crawl UNDER the bike. they were JUST LIKE NEW.

So as you can see, i'm EXTREMELY plesased and just wanted to thank a  fellow member for going the extra mile to help another member in need.

THANK YOU JAKE!!!!   cooldude   cooldude   cooldude

Good on you Tim-Bob for taking the time to show your appreciation for what this member did for you.

How is the road rash and the old bones doing?    Remember, you will probably be sleeping with Arthur-I-Taus along with Sherri from now on.     Hope she isn't the jealous type.

Red told our youngest daughter that she had been sleeping with two men for over  40 years.    Daughter asked who is the other one?  She told her Arthur and she still didn't get it.    She was rather pissed at her mom, before it was explained in detail, then she said she felt like an ass for the things she had said to mom.

I saw several seemingly new ones lying around in display cases at the Hendersonville NC Honda shop a year
or so ago... (828)693-4101
