My Valkyrie washing method...

140 miles running hard, essentially under the same fast moving storm…and just for good measure, another several hours of rain...

Doing the cleaning that way at least you won't have dust any longer like my cycle has the past few weeks.  Good way to get rid of the cobwebs and layer of dust.  Roll Eyes

I almost said, you're a better man than I am but, I won't.  Wink
My general rule of thumb is, I don't go out riding in the rain, if it starts raining while I'm out and about, I deal with it but, I see no reason to head out into it without good reason.  The one thing I have found out is it really doesn't matter how good of a rainsuit you have, eventually, you're gonna get wet.  Wet feet, wet hands, wet crouch, eventually, somethings getting wet.  I don't like wet so, maybe you are a better man than me.  If I have a choice, I won't get wet.  Cheesy

Tell me Daniel, if it doesn't rain do you ride the Dragon through the automatic car wash?  Grin

People in Clarksville probably think you're crazy already, but if you park Dragon in front of your store in the rain, you are not helping to dispel their fears!  Grin

Oh, I get it, that's how you keep the dust off a black Valkyrie...

I doesn't happen until that first meaningful flow of water finds it's way down the crack of my behind...after that, I'm officially WET.
