Nissans new commercial for the Juke.
Truely in bad taste.
We should contact Nissan and boycott their products until they issue a public appology.

Looks like a sci-fi videogame dystopian future kinda thing. They're not telling people to go and kill bikers.

And why were the bikers following her? Did she not have a right to defend herself.

Just relax.  Wink

Stupid looking console anyway.

Nissan will never build anything that has a soul, like a 57 Chevy or a 52 Ford pickup.

My very poor driver neighbor has a nissan juke just bought.  I drove it ONLY once and once was enough for me.  If over 200lbs., forget about sitting in the front seats.  It doesn't even have a center console to rest your right arm on or store stuff in.  The back seats were adequate for 2 under 6' tall.  The worst part besides price being 23K was it is turbocharged AWD 4 cylinder and was adequate in terms of power but requires 91 octane gas and ONLY gets 28 mpg at best with only an 11 gallon gas tank.  Heck, you can barely go much longer per tank than my I/S and as a daily driver, that dinky 11 gallon gas tank would require filling up every 3 days vs. 5-6 days driving for me with say my Hyundai Santa SE 3.5L V6 getting 26 mpg with 18 gallon tank.  That V6 would beat that turbocharged 4 cylinder anyday also.

The ad is dumb if you ask me.  Why would you compare a nissan juke cockpit layout to any cycle? They are 2 entirely different vehicles and at least on our cycles anyone over 6' and 200lbs. wouldn't feel closterphobic unlike in the Juke.

The whole car is also goofy looking.

Nissan has built a number of cars with soul over the years. The 240Z, early 90's 300Z, the 240SX, the Skyline series... drive a current GT-R and tell me it doesn't have soul. If you can't get that car's soul to come out then that's the driver's fault.

Nissan never aired the commercial. They issued a recent apology but somehow it got out on the internet even though the campaign was squashed before release.

I can almost bet the commercial was done by some young punk kid in their 20's who plays video games their entire life and wishes they owned a cycle but instead thinks the Juke is like  a cycle which it is not.  The looks are definitely for the younger crowd or  yuppie middle ager like my neighbor wanna be young again.  For the size of the dinky car, it is fairly roomy (except width) and can seat 4 adults o.k..  but the price, turbo needing 91 or higher octane to run decent, and small gas tank is not good.  It almost feels to me like a go-kart when driving it, fun yet not practical.  My neighbor who has the Juke is odd anyways having a toyota prius and honda CR-V and prior honda fit.  I guess going from a honda fit to the nissan Juke MIGHT be considered an improvement??  Roll Eyes

The Honda Fit is one of the most economical, practical, and versatile vehicles ever made. Did you ever drive one? That's why they make different cars! I for instance think that Chrysler products suck, and would not be caught in one. But, that's my choice, to buy what I like.

Different strokes for different folks! It's what makes the world go round. And btw, no, I don't own a Fit. The only Honda casting a shadow (no pun intended) on my drive way is a Valkyrie! cooldude

Eh..... no worse than I've done myself hundreds of times playing Grand Theft Auto Vice City.  Of course I've done lots of bad things while on motorcycles in that game too.  Anyway, in this commercial, the motorcycle riders were the bad guys, not some innocent bikers minding their own business.  Still, probably wise of them to kill the ad.

Yah, different strokes for different folks.  Yes, I was in his previous honda fit he bought and it rode rougher and louder and slower and flatter seats and lower to the ground than his nissan juke.  So, my opinion, the Juke is an improvement.  Still, the honda fit is practical and versatile like you say, just never would own one nor any Honda for that matter besides a Honda cycle.
