To REALLY lower a valk OR easy rear wheel R/R

I turned it into a hardtail and lowered it as far as it can go. I just made a flat bar replacement for the shocks. Well it might be a harsh ride, but you can get used to anything right!
Well, actually its really a replacement for a strap, and a "helping hand" while removing the wheel. Simply remove the shocks and install this baby on the left side and the axle and all the bolts you need are now clear above the exhaust, and no straps in your way. Remove the wheel, put it back on and then lower the swing arm enough to install the shocks again.

PS I started raising the swing arm instead of lowering it because I dont have to mess with the exhaust at all that way and also theres no chance of stressing the Ujoint by lowering the arm all the way (which is too far). This also makes getting a torque wrench on the 4 final drive mounting bolts easier. I used to use a strap to hold it up, but there was a problem trying to wrench on tight bolts, the strap wasnt solid so the swing arm wanted to move. Not now.

Center to center is 10". The big hole for the top is 5/8" and Im not sure about the bottom, I just held the bolt up to my bits and picked the next size up

That looks like the service tool that's spelled out in the Clymers manual. I made one for mine a while back and works great when doing the rear wheel service.
