This shot has 31,858 lbs. of explosives and generates 48,195 tons of rock....... Powder factor is 1.51lbs. of explosives per ton of rock.
All holes are 105' deep and 5.75" dia.
Each hole has 3 separate decks of 25' of powder.
The shot has a total of 192 electronics detonators. 2 per deck.
It took me almost 2 hours just to program the friggin caps.....  Angry
If you watch closely you can see the separate decks shoot.
Also note in the video how close it is to the houses in the back ground....
That's the reason for the decks....Higher pounds per delay usually result in higher ground vibrations.

The results....   cooldude

The Mother of all Pre Split walls..... A lot of very hard manual labor is involved in making this happen.

What's the objective?  Is this a mine and you're removing taking the spoil?  Is this part of a construction project?

I can't see the separate decks go off as well as I'd like, can't you stand closer
while you're filming?

I used to drive a pneumatic trailer and we hauled the resin sand leased to Haliburton. coolsmiley Lot of Texas New Mexico oil patch and up to Michigan once in awhile. And a lot of catalyst out of Florida to the oil refineries. cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Nicely done.
I've been involved with this in the UK (as a regulator for local government).

Once we controlled one of these right next to houses AND a hospital. So cleverly designed that Vibration from a truck on the road was greater than the blast.

These guys are real professionals all right.

Off Hats! cooldude

Crushed stone of many various sizes.......A kazillion and one uses......Every road you ride every bridge you cross every building you walk into every sidewalk you see every driveway you drive.Etc,Etc.....
Think of it this way, Every thing you use that you can not grow came from a mine of some type. And more than likely the process started with explosives.   cooldude
