In Humble.  It's always been a good ride, a good event, and a good cause.  Who's going?
Sunday, April 29.

I'll be there, and if anyone wants to volunteer, there is a mandatory training class that will be held in two locations.  It is your choice which secession you would like to attend.  If you cannot attend either of these classes, please let Judy or I know as soon as possible.  We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

1.  East Side Class – Deer Park, Wednesday April 25th at 7:00 PM promptly, so please try to arrive at 6:30 to sign in and pick up your t-shirt

Battleground Golf Course - Call Maggie if you need assistance – 713 203-6509
1600 Georgia
Deer Park TX 77536
If traveling south on Center Street from Highway 225, turn right onto West 13th Street, left on Georgia and the golf course is on your right.
Call Maggie if you become lost – 713 203-6509

2.  North Side Class – near I-45 North and Beltway 8 North on Gears Road. Thursday April 26th, at 7:00 PM promptly, so please try to arrive at 6:30 to sign in and pick up your t-shirt
FMC Technologies – Contact Steve Ferguson 281-405-4938 (office), 713-207-0703 (cell)

Conference Room
1777 Gears Road
Houston TX 77067
As you enter off of Gears Road go to the building on your left there is a parking area in front of it.
Alternative parking lots are to the right if this one fills up.  Steve will meet you in the lobby.
This is a 24 hour working facility: please be mindful of the noise level outside and inside of the building.

light snacks and drinks provided.
Thank you for your help!  Do not hesitate to call if you have any questions.

Q:  If I volunteer, can I still ride?

A:  YES!  All duties will be completed in time for you to saddle up and join the ride.

A:  Yes, please!  Quick service and short lines make a better experience for our participants.

Q:  I will not be able to make the training class.  Is there anything I can do to help?

A:  Absolutely!  Please contact Judy or Maggie.

I don't know the details about KSU, route, or ETA, yet, but the idea is for us north-siders to leave mid-morning Saturday, ride the back roads down, and stay at the host hotel.

I'm in! Dave, SideCar, and I would love to be surprised by anyone that would like to ride down with us in the morning!

We will KSU from the Love's Truck Stop/Shell Station in Midlothian at Hwy.67 and 287 at 10am. Leisurely pace on back roads, including lunch on the road.

If you are stuck in the metromess for the weekend, Dallas Honda is having a lunch ride tomorrow - Saturday the 28th, with Jody Dean and Al leading to a surprise location (Stack House) that is benefitting Ride for Kids! Meet around 10:30 at Al Lamb's Dallas Honda. KSU 11am.

Ride safe! ~Jeff

625 miles of fun with friends supporting a great cause.  I'd call that a great weekend.

The total amount raised by today's ride (and all the year-round activities that go on but were tallied today) was over $321,000!  Congratulations Houston!  Great job by so many!   cooldude  Let's do it again next year!

Sure was some good fun! Saw a bunch of Valks too! Here are just a few of the sights... Thanks to you all for stepping up to help these kids fight the good fight to the tune of $321,674.61!

October in North Texas can be some of the best riding weather of the year. Rain or shine, please consider yourselves personally invited to the DFW Ride for Kids, October 7th! Come in on Saturday and stay at the host hotel to help us celebrate our 10th annual event. The DFW Valk club was top club at last year's ride so you guys will be leading the ride this year - right behind the kids! ~Jeff

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Yep, it was a hoot.  Had the honor of giving RocketGirl her first ride in a sidecar.  We figured out that we have their family covered in the 6-80 year old range for sidecar rides.

Great having fun with everyone and doing it for a great cause.  See ya soon.
