Going White Walls (Maybe!) - Need your help
«

Chrome world lists these:
Honda Valkyrie Metzeler Rear Wide Whitewall Tire ME880 Marathon 170/80-15 77H
Front Metzeler 150/80-16 71H ME880 Wide White Wall
Would these fit and be okay for the Valkyrie? Funny they list the rear as for the Valkyrie, but no mention for the front, I tried to find something close to the OEM size.
Really appreciate any help, pros and cons
Thanks in advance

Neither is gonna fit .... The front OEM tire is 17" not 16" and rear OEM tire is 16" not 15"

Search for posts from WDAN. He recently went Wide White Walls. Might try the Texas Board.

Also search posts by JimC.
He put Dunlop bias ply white walls on his Valkyrie. Real sharp too.

Thought about doing the same and been in contact with WDAN. Harley Dealers are the only way to get the rear WWW Dunlops. Avoid the D407 if possible, they had some cupping problems. Check the Harley Forums for more convincing arguements. Front Dunlops 404s can be bought online for around $125. Rear is around $200-$225. Just tire prices, no mounting.

Picked up the D407 rear from HD dealer today, WDAN was nice enough to e-mail me and he's been happy with the wear and ride, ordered front D404 on line. Going to give them a try, I've always liked WW tires.
I've been using Avon Cobras for years and the current ones are a year old, so if it dosn't work out I'll switch back in a year or so
