I guess there are a lot of folks out there who can see what the liberal press, community organizers, and Hollywood bleeding hearts are really all about, and this is one way to show their "outrage".

Such a shame that our sources for truth have turned out to be the very entities who misinform us on purpose.  I still believe that NBC, ABC, CNN, and the NY Times should be brought up on whatever charges are available for those who incite hatred nationally.  If they can go after Howard Stern for saying "penis", why can't they go after "news" organizations that manipulated audio and video to present the story they want you to hear and not the real story based on the unmanipulated facts.

In my opinion, anyone who still watches these stations, or reads that paper, has their heads so far up their own butts that they can taste their food twice.

I agree G-man, this is not about getting paid to shoot someone, this is about justice and fairness; people have donated to make sure Z gets a fair trial.  A few million good and honest people hold gun permits in this country.... it is not a far reach to see themselves in Z's position.

I wrote before that Z should only be charged based on the evidence, not on public opinion.  Alan Dershowitz, noted legal scholar (and liberal)... has a few words on the subject:

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/megyn-kelly-guest-alan-dershowitz-slams-zimmerman-prosecutor-her-affidavit-is-a-crime.

http://www.ruthfullyyours.com/2012/04/21/alan-dershowitz-the-zimmerman-prosecution-is-immoral-and-stupid/

“Now, one of the problems,” he continued, “is because they’ve indicted for second degree murder — and there’s nothing in this affidavit that suggests second degree murder, the elements of second degree murder aren’t here — the expectations have been reduced. There’s an article today in one of the… the Daily Beast saying “there’ll be riots in the street if there’s an acquittal.” If there are riots, it’s the prosecutor’s fault. Because she over-charged, raised expectations. No reasonable jury is going to convict based on the evidence I know of second degree murder. So this prosecutor not only may have suborned perjury, she may be responsible if there are going to be riots here for raising expectations to unreasonable levels.”

“I’ve had cases in Florida against prosecutors,” Dershowitz said, “and this is not the first time they have willfully omitted exculpatory evidence. It’s a continuing problem. Here, it’s not only immoral, but stupid. The whole country is watching. What do they benefit from having half-truths in an affidavit?”

What's the problem.... no different than soliciting for  political monetary donations, blood, food or other donations to help those in need or less fortunate.    You do understood that he was soliciting for financial support for his defense costs, and that due to the high profile of the case brought on by the media and other organizations he will need that much and more.  With the cost of legal fees for high profile lawyers.... he will most likely need more.

And as for the "and growing".... the article states the website has been shut down.  And before I could donate more to the cause....

I also agree with G-Man. As far as "shoot somebody and make some money", how about the  New Black Panthers wanting to give now ONE MILLION dollars to somebody that kills him??  coolsmiley

I agree GMan.....if the current pictures were posted in the media from the beginning, I wonder if the same amount of emotion would have been stirred up for Travon.

Chris you are so right. The media I think is mostly responsible for the hatred and fanning the flames.  Higher ratings = Mo Money!

I personally do not care if people donate to one eyed frogs, the man in the moon, political candidates or kids with cancer.   Your money, do what you want.

I do NOT think people should donate to illegal activities ie terrorism, drug deals, discrimination etc.

I think the issue here is that Z's lawyer did not know of the $$ when he argued that Z was indigent at his bail hearing.  Lawyer disclosed to the court today and they will reevaluate on whether the bond was appropriate with this new disclosure.
