Along with CTD, I check these all from time to time (for bulk purchase).  (add to favorites)

I generally get out my calculator, and go for best price per round for either range fodder or  defensive ammo.  (Lots of ammo out-of-stock these days)

Used to be you could get best prices at gun shows, not so much anymore.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I been getting mine at a farm store or wal mart. My partner bought 9mm a month ago. It was $15 on the tag but got it for $10 for 50 rds.

Since I've gotten in the habit of buying ammo online, I usually just go to ammoseek.com and see who has the best price for what I want. It's just one of many ammo search engines but I like it the best so far. That said, Natchez Shooters Supply (natchezss.com) is a company I've traded with quite a bit. They've typically been competitive and always given good service.

I've found that after you include shipping buying ammo online doesn't save you very much at all vs. buying at your favorite local gun store. Hence, that's where I buy most of my ammo. I will occasionally order online if I see a really good deal or if it's something that the locals don't carry (like Aguila subsonic) but that's kinda rare.

If I'm buying a quantity I'll usually buy online, for just a box or two I go to Rural King. Was buying 525 round bulk packs of Federal .22 rimfire ammo there nearly every week for $16 or $17 for a while. I've shot most of it up now and need to go back for more.

They frequently have some good sale prices on centerfire handgun and rifle ammo too.

John,
Thanks for the tip on Wisconsin Cartridge, I had never heard of them before, and they are close plus they will ship 1,000 rounds to me for $16.00.  Combine that with the price, and I don't think I could get better anywhere else.

BTW, when buying from Cheaper than Dirt notice which warehouse the stuff is shipping from. First time I ordered random things, came from 3 different places, and my shipping was higher than it should have been if I was paying attention.

Last night I ordered a couple hundred dollars worth of ammo all from one warehouse, and the shipping and handling was only $4 more than what I would have paid in tax locally.
