Over the winter I read a posting about cleaning out and/or unplugging "something" underneath the carbs. . . .  when/if you smell gas as you ride. A number of people said they had the same issue. I always smell a little gas going down the road. It's almost as if the bike is running too rich, but it's not. This 'tip' seemed to make sense and I copied it to a folder, but now can't find it and as you can tell, I can't really rmember the details. Anyone?  Thanks~

Well, I'll tell ya what mine was. "O" ring in the fuel rail. You might take a look, mine did not leak unless engine was running.

What I remember reading on fuel smell, multiple times, was the gas cap gasket failing, and being shimmed up/replaced with some thin rubber (like from an inner-tube).

I don't know if this could be smelled while riding however.
