John, where in Winter Park do you live? I lived in Winter Park for a year when I got out of High School (almost 40 years ago) I remember Genius Drive.....an Orange grove where we used to feed the peacocks.

Forty years ago I don't think the Winter Pines golf course in Winter Park was there. Anyway, we live on the course which is at the south end of Ranger Blvd. where it deadends on Summerfield. At that point you have to turn left and the streets go all the way around the center part of the course. When I moved to the area just over 42 yrs. ago, Semoran Blvd. ended at Howell Branch road. It now is a six lane divided hiway all the way to the airport. In the time I've lived in the Orlando area, the changes are tremendous. Some areas I don't recognize myself. Even downtown Orlando has changed, as have the streets and how they're used. Just for kicks, you ought to pull up Orlando metro area on a map and see how it's changed.

I used to live in winter park FL myself. lived in the apartments next to the elementary school across the street from a 7-11. cant rememeber the name anymore. it was in the 80's...I worked for a painting company then, who went out of business and I soon opened up my own company and moved to casselberry near my grandmother to keep an eye on her.
