I ordered a set of 13" Progressive 440s from HDL on sale about 12 years ago and have been using them ever since. One failed recently and lost oil. I returned them to Progressive a couple weeks ago and today I found a box of brand new pair of 440s waiting for me when I got home! That's what I call excellent above-and-beyond customer service!

Did you have to supply any evidence that you were the original owner of the shocks?  I started seeing some oil around mine but I was not the original owner..... so I don't have a receipt or anything to fall back on.

You don't necessarily have to be the original owner, but you do have to have a receipt for new purchase.

Yeah, I had the receipt. You could always send them in for servicing, though. The new ones are over $530 on HDL right now so even if you can't get them fixed for free they still might be worth having repaired by the manufacturer.

Sorry, I doubt they actually REPLACED them with a New Pair.
I've been there with one leaking. They said send 'em both in and we'll rebuild both & clean & polish & test the springs and replace if necessary.
When I opened my box I thought the same thing - Wow new shocks, but I found my original L & R makings [engravings] on the bottom of each.
