Looking at a 2000 interstate with 30 thousand miles on it, has the cb, radio, clean bike, Looks real good, not beat up, bascially a stock interstate, forgot to mention it does have a Hitch and custom seat with it. just asking what do you think it might be worth ?

Given the lingering economy, I think Willow is in the right range. If you do get it we want pictures.

Up to 9,000 or maybe even more depends on the bike. There have been members in the past wanting 10,500
Ask members what they would sell their I/S for
I had 2000 I/S with 89,000 miles 1 1/2 years ago, sold it on ebay for 8,700-no bling Sold a 99 I/S 31,000 miles on craigslist about a year ago for 9,100- no bling
I currently have a 99 and 2000 I/S both 36,000 miles it would take 8,500 to get the 2000-no bling and 11,500 to get the 99 loaded with bling. .Buy it as cheap as you can, sell for the most you can.

I hope it's not one of the plain blacks. Stirring the pot, huh?

My 2001 I/S is plain black, make that FAST black, with 24,000 miles and I would want 7500 no less than that since tires are in good shape having 3-4 more years left on them. I'd ask 8 grand and go down to 7500 if need be, but not going to happen anytime soon until the 2001-2006 goldwings go down below 10K in price. I think 6500 bare bones stock no options and go up from there up to 8500 tops blinged out.

Yes, buy it as cheaply as you can if you decide that it has most of the things on it that you want. To add a CB is $500+. Add a custom seat is $600-$1000 depending on which one you buy. Also the 2000 models up have the polished and coated rims. Any other bling runs the price up considerably depending entirely if these things are important to you or not. Tire condition is to be considered also. $400+ for a new set. I would suggest that you find the bike you want with most everything on it that you want and buy that one. As you can see, adding stuff gets expensive in a hurry. But then you get to do it just like you want to...Jim PS-Any color interstate is good. Just ask anyone that owns one...

Would sell you my 99 tourer for $5900. New tires and battery, fresh oil and diff. oil change. $700 cobra exhaust and aftermarket seat. 31k miles, runs excellent. Just to give a price comparison. I would make $700 on this deal.

Bought my 99 I/S with 26K miles last year for $6500. Good shape, but needed front and back tires. No bling (at the time). Loaded now. Value? don't know, it's not going to be for sale.

I think the price ranges given are fair. I do have to question the black color being fastest. I had a black and chrome I/S. It was extremely fast, I thought it was the fastest until I bought a red and black with chrome. I quickly saw the error of my ways. The red paint adds a streamlining effect causing it to be faster than standard black and chrome. Do not be fooled by erroneous statements concerning this information, red and black I/S's are fastest. Buy it if you can get it, you will love it. Craig 99 I/S NcGhostrider

Just bought a 99 Interstate loaded, cb and lots of chrome 54000 miles paid $5500 for it, need a couple things, has a small dent in front fender, and has a trunk handle that lights up that I dont like so I will have to get the top of the trunk repaired, 4 small holes when I take it off, other than that its in great condition, already took the rear tire off and checked the diff. It's in great condition, so I think I got a good deal. Now all I have to do is sell my 97 tour, Or heck I might keep it havent decided yet. I did have to drive about 500 miles to pick it up so add another $200 for gas. They go for what you can get, some cheep some high, I have had 4 interstates and they were all great, just buy it if you like it, you wont be dissipointed. Walt......

Craig 99 I/S NcGhostrider +1 I bought a red and black 2000 IS this spring for $6995. Much chrome, 38k, nice shape, no CB but just bought one from Mike at Valkyrie Bling. Does seem faster than my black 2003 std.

I doubt even a car tire would last me 3-4 years... I just wore out a MT in 6 months.
