As of my ride today i have put 268 miles on this round rubber thingy. coolsmiley Did 143 miles today 90 miles in the twistys on Mo.14 east bound. Wink So far i am liking very much what i'm feeling with this tire. Cool Change the line in a left or right curve upsets me NOT the tire. HARD stops are O-K with this tire also. Grin Good dry sunshiny conditions in thr low to mid 80s. cooldude Now a heads up people. Smiley The calender says it aint summer but i'm here to tell you that Modot is hot patching and cold patching on a few of my favorite roads. crazy2 Folks that have highway frontage to their property are blowing the cut grass onto the highway. tickedoff PAY attention out there. cooldude RIDE SAFE.

O-K i now have 1179 miles on the Shinko and am enjoying the way this thing handels. coolsmiley The only thing i have not done yet is run in the rain. 2funny I had it up on the lift to get a look at it and it's showing very even runnung. Wink I have Dyna Beads in it and liking them also. Cool The quick l-r-l-r transitions in the twistys are done with the same level of comfort i had with my Metz 880.  Smiley Soon as i run it in the rain i'll let you know what if anything i encounter. cooldude RIDE SAFE

Unless i run in the rain won't talk bout this too much more or if i have a catastrophic failure. coolsmiley As of getting home last night from Eureka Springs Ar. i have exactly 2000 miles on the Shinko. Wink Can not find anything bad to say about this tire. Grin It did wash out in the sand and gravel parking lot yesterday but given the surface and angle and the phase of the moon i believe any tire would have washed out in the same circumstances. Undecided For the money($118.99)i think it's gonna be hard to beat. Smiley I'll let everyone know how many miles i get out of it. cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Looked this up based on a recent post regarding Shinko tire issue.

I think everyone can find "something" wrong with any brand of tire.  I had an E3 that had a vibration from day one and it wore our the same time as the rear tire did.... and I never had that happen with any other brand.

Oh well....    Keep us posted on the Shinko progress....

Went out to my phatt ghurls cave(where do you keep yer dragon?)and did the math. Now at 6585 miles on the Shinko S E 890 BUT still have not run it in the rain. I've kept up with the other issues on this tire from other members and the one on my I/S i couldn't be any happier with a tire. Mounted with Dyna beads had it up to 130 M P H indicated a few times and it don't even wiggle a tiny bit. If i had the slightest concern about any safety issues not only would i replace the offending item my daughter WOULD NOT ride with me til said item is replaced. My daughter B T W is still riding with me. I keep the front tire at 44 45 P S I and it has not lost any pressure at all. And if it means anything at all my I/S is showing 64200 miles on the odometer. RIDE SAFE.

Is this tire on the front or rear? If it's on the front, is it a rear tire? I have a D404 rear up front and am happy with it, but the Shinko intreags me...

I have this same Sinko.  I bought a front tire for the front, and so far it has been great. I run a Falkin 512 rear, and they work great together.

I have around 1000 miles on the shinko right now, and you can still feel the nubs from the tits, so i would say it is wearing great!.

Identical setup for me. Falken Ziex 512 in the rear at 32  34 P S I and the Shinko S E 890 in front at 42  44 P S I. When i got home yesterday from my after church ride i had a look at both tires. Other than the dirt and gravel from my driveway looks as if they were just mounted. RIDE SAFE.

I have over 6k on my rear, with about 35-40 psi in a 65 series tire. It does not look new anymore for sure, but it still looks good. I am also running 42 psi in the front.  I have not even balanced it yet. Just have not gotten around to put beads in it, but it is smooth the say it is.
