I would say $8500.  I saw one on the web the other day at a dealership selling for that.  It had 50000 miles on it with chrome on it.  But, go for as much as you can get.

I just found the link again

They are going to hit you with a rock bottom price.

Hit them on the counter offer at what you want out of it and then haggle to a price.

Has always worked for me in any vehicle, the wife, kids or I have totaled.

Make sure you have a list of accessories if your policy covers them. My policy gives up to an automatic $3k for accessories.

Then try to buy it back from them dirt cheap... remember, Insurance companies don't like to hold  on to this stuff, so you make out good it you buy it back and salvage it.

I hope you do well. Buy it back "dirt cheap." The adjuster might be the first one suggesting that you keep it!  Wink

dont take this the wrong way brother but you aint a cupcake

Are you sure that you havent got a bent frame. For sure your forks should be toast

They can be had off pinwheel so not the end of the world but it sure makes the project more lengthy

Be glad you didnt have an interstate, the cost of fairing and pods is more than you would think

You up for a visitor on saturday or sunday?  I will bring you some jewish soul food from the deli in New hemstead Road they are open sunday at 11

Make a list of what similar bikes in the area have sold for or are available for.  It will help your argument.

Also, if you happen to have the cycle at home (rather than a dealer), you might be able to "reclaim" some of the accessories...
