I'm going up for a couple of days (6th & 7th). Just wondering if I should expect to see any other Valks, or maybe meet a VRCC member or two while I'm there.

I am going up just to get a front tire for much cheaper than I can get it done here  probably a metzler unless the cobra is cheaper, The metz was just a better rain tire IMHO  and maybe a scorpion half helmet if I can find one in white

dont know what day but most likely just for the day on Thursday

Whichever day has the worst weather is usually what happens   Shocked

I'll be going up again this year.  Staying in Rutland, VT this time.

I am going up for the last day (9th).  See if there are any deals to be had.  We are going to stay in Tupper Lake.  Too damn expensive to stay in the town.  The hotels in Tupper Lake are half the price of the ones in Lake George and only an hour and half away.

I HATE driving at night and with deer, elk and rain in the mix..... if I stay its at the exit where  the SILO restaurant is maybe its  route 179 exit

around 120 bucks or so split 2 ways for one night  on queen size beds with working ac aint so bad no 4 nite minimum

I like being on Canada street at night and watching tens of thousands of bikes roll by

Last year must have met a dozen or so VRCC including Sandy and his friend on the way from Ariz to Nova Scotia, CrazyMiles and Bev, PaulXX and even some of my clients from the Bronx, Red knights from New England and Buffalo Soldiers I see every year.

Its a family atmosphere, no fighting, everyone getting along and having fun

Last year, I was at the Montreal Motel on Canada St (nice to be close).
Couldn't get the same deal as last year, so I'll be at the Red Roof in Rutland, VT (about an hour away).  The run, even at night, has pretty good visibility (rt 4 in VT is like an interstate) and you get to gas-up in VT for less than NY.

Some of the unguided mini-tours are a blast (the VT High Gaps tour and Raquette Lake tour in particular) - good lunch, too.

Maybe we can meet-up somewhere.

There should be a pretty good contingent of New England riders this year, we tend to hang out by Ben & Jerry's in the evening. A group ride is tentatively scheduled for Thursday. Tent camping a couple miles out of town. Vermont High Gaps on Tuesday. Can't wait!
