I was caught without a real motorcycle to ride, saw a lot of them, but no Valkyries. My wife attended a conference for the Knights of Peter Claver (like Knights of Columbus if you are Roman Catholic).

Here's a few pics I took while my wife was busy with meetings. I was out on the town.

Saw this outside the Hotel, thought it was based on a Spider, has a Kawasaki engine and is based on a T Rex, whatever that is.

Visited the USS Lexington Aircraft Carrier.

From the flight deck.

The Plank, no I didn't walk out there.

The engine room

Dared me to take his picture, waiting on the parade

The crowd is gathering

Would not let me ride his motorcycle

He said no also

That's no ordinary Camry, should hear that revved up, no V6 either.

T Rex at night, there were a coupple there

All in all, a good weekend.

Smiley some funny quips, there, rd.

When we went to the dragon last spring there were several of those t-Rex riding it, too. They look to be pretty fun to  drive.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a fun trip, Eli.  Touring the Lexington is still on my to-do list.  So is driving a T-Rex, but I'd be scared to be that low in traffic.

Denise and I toured the Lex. several years ago. She was impressed I was kind of let down. I did several detachments to the Lex. in the early seventys while in uncle sams canoe club. I was hoping to show her where we lived and several other spots but they were not on the tour routes and the cats and cables had been removed from the flight deck. Anyway it is still very worth the trip and the little watering hole at the base of the ramp has good food and cold adult beverages.

This may help Denise get an idea of where you lived Mr B., that little watering hole served up some pretty good eats also. Don't know how far down you went several years ago, but you can go far enough to appreciate A/C when you are on your way back to the hangar deck.

One time while on the boat they put us in the old powder storeage area. We were 7 level below the hanger deck. Air  conditioning was hit and miss at that for down. Another time we were just below and forward of the side elevator. Every time the  elevator moved so did all the piping in our compartment .
