I am still 55 bought this 2nd interstate at the end of 03 with 3ooo miles on the odometer

For back leg and hip comfort I have Way forward highway pegs and mickopegs

for all day butt comfort the russell day long seat

Could not imagine riding any other machine for a week or more 10 hr plus each day and still want to ride when I get where I am going after a pit stop.

I do have another bike as a commuter because I cant bear the thought of the beating the Valk would take on these local roads but after an hour I am dyin to get off the R1150rtp (maybe my next commuter will be an abs vstrom or an old GS or an old trans alp if I can find one)  Just blew out fork seals a few weeks ago so that was a good decision in my eyes

Whatever your age, you ride if it makes you feel good  To me thats what matters, RJ SOLO HOSER and you others eligible for Social Security you keep on doin whatever it is you are doing and being an inspiration for us younger geezers

Being scared or being old and scared, well without fear there can be no courage, so if you are lookin at a Valkyrie but just dont know.... go for it you wont be sorry  And if you cant hold the bike up, trike it or get a smaller bike, just ride as long as it feels right for you

I would look at the 1600 bmw again, that was the most fun I had on any other bike in years
