Remember those that gave all and paid the ultimate price for their country.

This is not just a holiday or 3 day weekend for cooking on the grill.

We've invited Lady Di's father over for a meal to celebrate Memorial Day, prolly watch an old war movie.

He was drafted out of high school into the Army.  When he finished boot camp, the war in Europe was over and he was sent to a California staging area for duty in the Pacific.  Before he shipped out, the war in the Pacific ended.  Because he had accounting experience and could type (hunt and peck!), he spent the rest of his service doing investigative work in the JAG corp.

He lost many friends to battle.  While he never took a shot at the enemy (he was a national pistol champion), he would have answered the call when needed.  He  proudly served his country.

We celebrate his duty and others that served today.

Do the same for those you know.   cooldude

thank Lady Di's father for his service. We are remembering my father and all of his buddies from Normandy and Battle of the Bulge.
