Seeing recent post on the Avengers movie made me think a bit about this.  I work hard in a busy, stressful job that I like.  I ride hard in the desert, the mtns and off on adventures.

When I have a day off i like to go to a movie.  Lots of them. Some good, some bad.  I read reviews and skip the ones that are really lousy.  I like comedy, action and drama.  Yesterday I went to see Avengers in 3D at multiplex theater about a mile away with XD.  Great theater with big comfortable seats and hitech sound system. Movie was sort of mediocre and too long, but nice 2 1/2 hours of relaxation.

Today to smaller group of theaters to see the Headhunter.  Good German foreign film with subtitles, see it if you can.

I see from posts on other topic that a lot of you NEVER go to movies, but for me it's lots of fun.  cooldude

Don,

The wife and I enjoy going to the movies. It's great entertainment, and escape from whatever is bugging you. There have been some great movies this year. War Horse was just one of many we enjoyed! cooldude

My wife and I are with you there.  We go for the entertainment.  I don't pay attention to most critics, too many of them are full of thierselves. We don't always go on opening day and tend to listen to persons we trust.

I also love movies, but my hearing is so bad I need closed captions  to really keep up with whats going on.   I usually wait for the DVD and watch them at home, much more enjoyable to me.  I like most genres, but not too hot on musicals.   Funny but I enjoy lots of the kids animated movies, guess in my doddering years I am regressing into childhood.
