The Asian guys were the engineers but the plant workers and machinists are all American.

That's the problem.  All the higher paying jobs in the asian factories are held by asians.  The lower paying jobs are all American workers.  The asians love to go to depressed areas of the U.S. and find people willing to work for anything.

Buying from American companies will keep the money here.  That is always the better alternative.

Some people will never be happy.
What hacks me off about the "made in America" thing other than the mis-directed arrogance of some HD "supporters" is the assumptions they make. I buy American whenever I can. I sell parts for an American car manufactuer {Ford} & a VERY large percentage of those parts are NOT made in America, just like HD. I buy American cars only because the foreign alternatives are no better than the Ford products IMHO. Can't say that about the American made motorcycles. I would love to buy a Harley Davidson which is supposedly an all-American product  Roll Eyes but they don't make what I want. Doesn't look like they will start making anything I want anytime soon either. Which brings us to the Valkyrie. While I completely understand the dynamic of what is made where, it is NOT enough of a motivator to make me overlook the American Made Harley Davidsons shortcomings as a motorcycle.
The partially made in America Valkyrie does it for me. The fact that it was made in America is just a bonus.
Our forefathers fought & died in wars to protect our freedoms of choice, not to restrict our choices in the markets. It hurts me that no American company can make a motorcycle good enough for me. Undecided
