Last year  I sold VTX1300 with expectation of buying new bike. Well along came cancer and thoughts of bike out the window.  Well 10 months later cancer gone but stll dealing woth after effects of chemo and radiation I am back to work and bought me a 99 Valkyrie Interstate with 20,000 miles on it. Havent got to ride a lot cause I am still weak and this is a lot more of a bike than I am used to. I am located between Amarillo and Wichita Falls, but get down to hillcountry as I have brother Marble Falls. Hope to make some rides and meet some of you. Stay safe out there.

Welcome to the world of the "Valkyrie". You're going to love the I/S. Post some pictures as soon as you feel up to it, and when you ride it, it will make you smile.

Congrats on beating the cancer and getting the interstate. I'm sure you need to get out and put some miles on that new, yes I said new bike. You see my old bike is fixing to roll over the 150 mile mark and still kicks butt and turns heads all the time.  We would love to meet you down here in Houston as soon as you get all better. The grin on your face will never go completely away.

Welcome, Sundown, congratulations, and get all the way well soon!

If we don't meet and ride together before then (have you read about InZane in Eureka Springs, AR in July?), hopefully we'll see you in Fredricksburg for the state ride-in October 12-14.  Details here.

Howdy Sundown!  Congratulations on your "like new" Interstate and for your big Win over cancer!

Please don't hesitate to contact me when you come down to visit your brother over in Marble falls.  The CenTex group gets together often for Hill Country breakfast/lunch runs and we don't need an excuse to take an extra ride!

Have not got to do anything with club in a long time but still have the colors. Hope to meet some of you in Fredricksburg this summer, good thing is I have a bed not far from there. Late welcome from Jacksboro.   I head up 287 to my cousins house in Fritch fairly often.   BTW, he is part of the Red Knights based out of Memphis I believe.  It is a fairly new chapter.

One thing about Childress, you have to ride somewhere else to get anywhere!   Cheesy

Enjoy the I/S, if you get a chance, post pics...

Hayhauler I went to school in Roscoe so I know about Haskel. We bought some equipment for our fire trucks in Haskel. It is a big company in a small town.

Yes, my cousin is David.  He is a blast, we didn't see each other for over 20 years, when I moved back to TX, we ran into each other and discovered that we both shared a lot of interests, including bikes.

He does give me a rash of crap over riding a Honda, as I am sure he will you too.  It is all in fun, I give him hell about oil leaks, even broke his heart one day when I told him I went in the Harley store to look at new bikes, but slipped and fell in the oil before I could get to one to admire it.

I think the R/K have something in Memphis this weekend, not sure.

see ya,

Craig

I do remember that!   Man, its a small world. I haven't seen Larry in a while.  He is a hoot!   I miss going to the fundraisers up there.  We always had a good time.

We will have to head up that way, and gang up on David.... he won't be able to stand two valks parked near his harley!!!

Tell Larry howdy for me..
