Got my bags and trunk mounted today.  Had the IS tank and Motosen gauge done earlier.  Went to take pics, and the camera batteries died. Took with my phone, so apologize for the poor quality.  It is overcast.
Had them all painted to match the original 97 purple and white. There is pinstriping on the top of the tank, but does not show up in the pics.
Also had Mark T's exhaust put on.  A quality job he does.  Looks and sounds great.
Got Pete, the valkyrieguys trunk when he sold it.  It was black.  This is what it looks like now.  Also added the rack to the top. Here is the trunk on his bike, still black: http://www.valkyrieguy.com/tsutrunk.htm

That really does look sharp.  At first glance I thought it was an I/S trunk but noticed the latch and then read the link about the trunk.

You know...I don't know why Honda didn't offer that kind of arrangement as a "factory" option, as they did with the custom VTX program.

Ditto with the "Supervalk" I/S. Offered with trunk or with Tourer/Standard-style sissybar, backrest and antenna.

Or am I thinking too radically here? Heck, the formula worked for Harley ...  ???

You know if you ever decide to part with those bags and trunk I would be glad to help. They are in the exact color scheme as my bike and they look GREAT. cooldude
