Live, Not Just Exist

Auburn, Ga

I rode from North GA to Jacksonville FL.  Then decided to go to Miami. I thought well, I may as well head to Key West. I came back up across highway 41 to 29 to 75 straight to the house. I guess I didn't drink much water. When I got home, I had a fever of 102.6. The next morning it was 101.9. I took some pain killers and fever reducers and sweat for a long time and felt much better. Instead of going to the doctor, like an idiot, I went to work.  I'm a truck driver and they sent me to South Florida. I was fine until I got to Florida. My fever jumped a so high, I turned the heater on. I pulled off and waited for the Motrin to kick in. I drank water all night and all day. I couldn't urinate. They sent me home the following day. I was still fevered but it wasn't bad. Instead of going to the doctor Wednesday, I went to Texas. Everything seemed normal but I developed a migraine that wont go away. They had a walkin clinic just a few blocks from the motel. The doctor said I need complete rest for 4 days and gave me some pills. . Instead of spending the weekend in Dallas, I took a load back to the house. My headache is still throbbing and won't ease. Has anyone else gone through this before?

What company do you drive for or are you owner/operator? I can't believe that if you worked for a major carrier that they would give you a load with you being sick like that. Then again my son drives for Averitt Express and they seem to be either in the dark or don't care.
I think we've conversed on here before but we need to get together for a ride sometime, hook up with Steamer over in Athens.
Have you made it to one of Smokin' Joe's FCR in Robbinsville NC?
Just trying to figure if we've met before.

No, I have never made it to one of Smokin' Joe's FCR. I never told my outfit I was sick, which I wasn't at the time but I guess it was just the pain killers I took. I drive for Estes. They are a very good outfit it was all my stupidity. Yeah, we need to get together for a ride in the near future

Mildew,

You are suffering from Dehydration...gatoraide, 32oz now...rest for as long as you can, don't and you will have certain parts of your body shut down.

Get hydrated!!! Also, go see your doc and get some blood work done. Just to be on the safe side...
