I will make it, but don't know about BJ's work schedule.  Hopefully we both can make it.

TTT.  I will be there, alas on the Wing since I have had no time to put the Valk back together after replacing the alternator.

See you there, Jimmy.

It's my native Houstonian return to my roots.  I can remember many a good duck hunt out in Katy.

Good seeing everyone for BBQ last night.  Saw some of you leading a sport bike back down I-10 on the way home. I was with the cages over in the construction.

By the way, anyone in Houston know if Carter's Country off I-10 near Memorial City still is a good place to buy guns at a reasonable price?

Don't know about that location, but Carters Country usually has pretty good prices.  There is one in Pasadena that I am familiar with.

This might be a little late, and maybe somewhat dated, but I always found Carter Country to be a little higher in price than others.  Not the highest, but nowhere near the lowest, unless you found something you wanted on sale, and they have a layaway.  Pay until paid-in-full, at the sale price, then out the door with gun.

I've been gone for close to seven years, but Bailey's off old 288 south, had better prices.  Although the last time I was there, it had changed management, and did not have a good vibe in there anymore.  Might be out of your way, but I always got good service and price from Fountain Firearms, Hiway 6 and Bissonnet.  One other, when I got out that way, was Jim Pruett's Guns and Ammo on Huffmeister.  He's half of radio's Stevens and Pruett.  Bought a couple of pistols from him, and felt like I got a good deal.

Found deals at Academy, Cabelas, Gander Mountain, and even found a 22 at Wally World.  Of course, these were all watching for good prices, then buying at the right time.  Come to think of it, the Cabelas might be a drive to Buda.

Again, been gone for a few years, but, if the time, you might check these.  Of course, the best prices I ever got were the big gun shows in town.  Don't think there is one there this weekend, because the big one is in San Antonio.

I know, too much info.  And nothing to do with the Houston dinner meet.  But, Hey, life is too short not to pass on valuable info.  And now for something completely different...

Thanks, 2.  Didn't end up having time to hit Carter's. Have Cabelas close by up here and I keep an eye on them.
