So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

This slide show consists of photos taken at a formal dinner at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico , VA. It is a beautiful presentation of the honor, commitment and pride today's heroes share with yesterday's.

If you know a Marine or a soldier of any branch of the Military (of any age) make sure he or she sees this. Wouldn't hurt if all other Americans saw it too!

I share this with you with pride in my heart and tears in my eyes.   Some won't understand, others do, they've been there.  Though I am a Former US Marine, I also served with some outstanding Americans in the US Army.   They come from average American families to serve their country and protect the Amercian way of life.  They swear to protect the Constitution and to be lead by their Commander and Chief.  Such men are who we all owe our freedom to.  But, the families of those serving also pay a price for that service.   All gave some, some gave all.

cooldude  Wow....       Thanks for the share, thanks for your service and I extend my thanks to all those that served, are serving and will serve, most importantly to those that Gave All.  All service-members sign a blank check when they sign up, and some of those checks get cashed in from time to time unfortunately.  God Bless em all.

I was privileged to attend a Medal of Honor Ceremony for a Marine last week.  He most certainly gave all!

cursed Gnats flying around here again. I am always amazed when I am somewhere where the Vets are asked to identify themselves, just what a small percentage of the citizenry Veterans make up. Makes one wonder at the fairness of the whole thing.   Undecided  The other thing I think about often, and almost feel guilty about at times, is that even though I served five years during Vietnam, and flew combat support missions over Nam and other places we should not have been, is that I now realize how easy my duty was compared to those that "Gave All".  Embarrassed
