This one really takes the cake.  I think they were just looking for something to let him go.

Wayne County (detroit) is one of the worst run county governments I've ever run into.

The company I used to work for did a fleet survey assessment for them a while back (last year), and they couldn't locate about 40% of their fleet.  The records they keep for the maintenance on the fleet might as well be crayola on a big chief tablet.

Severe case of cranial rectal inversion. uglystupid2 On the part of the neanderthal that fired him. crazy2 I guess he was just supposed to leave it there so someone could find it and do more crime or murders with it. Cry I guess being a public servant these days requires a complete lobotomy. cooldude I really hope the union getrs his job back and a good settlement. Grin THEN vote the ignorant a$$es that fired hin OUT. 2funny RIDE SAFE.

The city of Detroit truely has it's head up it's A$$.

It doesn't surprise me in the least, as Wayne County has become a hotbed of paranoia.
And the area (Brightmoor) is filled with street gangs and drug dealers. So finding a pistol should not be an unusual incidence.

I hope the union gets his job back and Wayne county officials wise up.

What a load of crap!!.......

Several years ago, we were mowing grass around our local Health Dept......my Groundskeeper handed me a revolver and told me one of our inmates had found it when he was weedeating.....he gave it to Ron to give to me....the Inmate was an older Black guy and figured it wouldn't be a good idea to approach me with the gun.....Ron is also a Black guy.....that was the Inmate's reasoning......I wouldn't have had a problem with him turning it in to me as long as he wasn't pointing it at me!!....... cooldude Cheesy Grin

I took extra care to handle it with a cloth in case the police wanted to try to get some finger prints off of it.....I took it back to our shop and my Boss called the PD......the guy that came to pick it up handled it all over......guess they didn't want prints after all.....hope it wasn't used in a crime......oh well......

NO ONE got in trouble or got fired though.......they must have been looking for a reason to let that guy go........ ??? Undecided Sad
