Has anybody ever tried Mario Moto overdrive kit - http://www.mariomoto.it/od.htm

Here is what they are saying you get.
45 mph rpm__1700 in 4th gear  rpm_1200 in 5th gear
50 mph rpm__2000 in 4th gear  rpm_1300 in 5th gear
55 mph rpm__2100 in 4th gear  rpm_1500 in 5th gear
60 mph rpm__2400 in 4th gear  rpm_1800 in 5th gear
65 mph rpm__2600 in 4th gear  rpm_2000 in 5th gear
70 mph rpm__2900 in 4th gear  rpm_2100 in 5th gear
75 mph rpm__3100 in 4th gear  rpm_2300 in 5th gear
80 mph rpm__3400 in 4th gear  rpm_2500 in 5th gear
85 mph rpm__3500 in 4th gear  rpm_2600 in 5th gear
90 mph rpm__3700 in 4th gear  rpm_2800 in 5th gear

Don't know if you can still get the kit, but if these number are true, it might be worth it.

Bill tried one a while back.

His report is at: http://www.bigbf.com/bigbf_shop/transmission/

I emailed Mario (info@mariomoto.it) 2 years ago and got a response from Sil @ bikeriders.it saying that I could buy one directly from them at 800 euros ($1019) shipping included.  Don't know if that price has changed.

I decided to wait (not ready to crack open the F6).

Recently, after hearing about the Austone taxi tire and its ability to reduce rpm about 8%, I plan to try it instead.

Different people had different experiences with the gears and install. I believe at the time the best reports were coming from guys with the superchargers. I would have loved to have done the modification but back when they were being promoted but I was still paying for the bike and I wasn't thrilled with having to split the cases either. When I'm out crusing I am still looking for that elusive 6th gear though.
