No true Christian would pray this prayer, you are calling for the death of a sitting president. Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labor. Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children. Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out. Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

I suspect the Roman government at the time these were written was slightly less benevolent than Obama's government today, yet here is God's Word:
Romans 13:1-7 " Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore he who resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same; for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil. Wherefore it is necassary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience' sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. Render to all what is due them; tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to who fear; honor to whom honor."
Titus 2:1 & 2 "Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be uncontentious, gentle, showing every consideration for all men."
1 Peter 2:13-17 "Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men. Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God. Honor all men; love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king."
1 Timothy 2:1-2 "First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men, for Kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity."

So I as a christian please understand that I will never take this lightly. I think W was much worse for this country than Bama. But as an American he was my president and was entitled to my respect.

I'm far from a Biblical scholar, but from my understanding, the notation Psalm 109:8 is intended to refer to that single line only:
"Let his days be few; and let another take his office."
If the other lines were intended to be included, the notation would have included them as well, thusly:
Psalm 109:8-15 (Or Psalm 109:8 - Psalm 109:15, as I said I'm not a Biblical scholar and thus not familiar with the exact notation.)
Anyway, my point being the Psalm 109:8 reference was referring to Psalm 109:8 and JUST that line, none after it. Had the original reference intended to include the other lines, they would have been included in the reference as well...
(I know, I'm being literal about it, but sheesh.....)
And just think folks... It's not even June yet... Imagine how much vitriol will be flying around come late October!

What about the so-called "separation of church and state". Seems that some have forgotten, or maybe just using religion to beschmerch politians.
If you don't agree with the current administration, then get out and vote in November. All the political BS isn't doing anything, but voting and getting involved does.

Nearly 80% voted in the recent French election. A huge turnout compared to the dismal showing for Presidential elections in the USA.

Hef;You are representing yourself as having "knowledge" 'bout Bush Vs. Obama that Thespian lacks . ??? Should anyone else who would want to comment on the issue ought to be educated by you before they post? It seems well advised that everyone ought to be checking for your "inside" knowledge and accuracy before posting. Yes, no, whatever? "People who pride themselves on their "knowledge" and deride others for being "uninformed" should realize that the truth is often not very complicated. What gets complex is evading the truth." I got it and I liked it, no its really not a good Christian behavior and yes it goes contrary to what we should do but considering it was King David that wrote it and it is in the Bible it only shows just how fallible we as humans are. There is hope for each and everyone of us, when you look at the Apostles you will look at some really failed human beings. They had Jesus with them, teaching them and telling them exactly what would happen. Did any of them really believe Jesus? or did they say yes but in their hearts not know who He really was. If you think they were spotless then you need to read your Bible a bit. Peter denied Jesus 3 times and Thomas needed to stick his fingers into the wounds in Jesus hands to make sure it was Him. My flesh wants to agree with the Psalm but my spirit says whoever is in office is there with the Lords approval. Even King Hezekiah a brutal king was king over Israel with Gods blessing. Lighten up a bit, we can jest and have some fun knowing that the Lord has everything in His hands. I believe that the following scripture is more on track on how to remove Obama from office or to get this country back on track.
2Ch_7:14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
