...First....Chili n I would like to thank EVERYONE..who showed up and enjoyed the weekend with us....I would have to say that in the last 5 years that we had this Q...this year....without a doubt.....was THE BEST year yet !! ....imho ofcourse..
....the weather was iffy in the morning, but quickly turned into a sunny ..warm....stellar day..
.....we had 35 bikes....give or take a few stragglers....and 55 to 60 people...show up and just have a good ol time....over the course of the weekend, we went through 30 lbs of hamburger....6lb,s of hot dogs....a TON of salads and desserts that all of you were kind enough to bring and share...and alot of commaderie...
....here is just a sampling of what Saturday was like....
. . ....at around 12:30 pm I fired up the grilles....and I have to tell ya...nothin makes my heart sing like the sight of two grilles.....flammin out ! ..
...it wasnt long after that the burgers were on and sizzlin.....here are the ...mini meat loafs...smokin away...
...now...this is a very good friend of ours...Al..or Merlin as he goes by when running with The Misguided....and I have to tell ya folks..this guys is a God Send...because without his help...and his expertise on the grille...there is no way I was gonna get to the end of grilling over 80 hamburgs...
.....thanks again Al....you are a gret help every year...and Chili and I love ya..
....it wasnt long after the aroma of Big Azz Burgers began wafting through the air...(and with a lil...persuading...on my part..
)....that folks began filling up the backyard...and chowing down...
....and like I said...the food table damn near streached into my neighbors backyard....thanks to all our good friends, bringing all kinds of goodies...
....and before yanno it....everyone was chowing down on burgers and dogs...as well as all kinda salads and such...
. . ....Chili was the usual great Hostess....making sure everyone,s plate was full...and everyone was happy and having a good time....here she is with my God Father....Don Tony.....aieee...sorry Don Tony.....I let it slip....everyone knows....Theres No Such Thing As .....The Mafia...
...now my good freind Merlin ...was in charge of keeping the folks who wanted their BAB,s ....welldone....I call these people..lovingly...The Non Believers...due to the way they eat their burgers...
...in a matter of 3 short hours...Merlin and I grilled up...26 lbs of hamburger...
....as the afternoon went by....folks stuffed themselves and just had a good ol time..kickn back and hanging out...
.....after makin sure everyone had some kinda monster burger on their plate...I took a few minutes off the grille...(thanks Rich for covering for me !).....and made my own...Creation..
.....Hey....A Wolfs gotta eat Too !!
...oh yeah....everyone kept asking me about the Big Ol bandage on my finger...all I can say is....never give a really sharp knife to an Idiot..
....these two are some really good friends of ours also...we were very short handed in the beginnign getting all the prep work done...and Greg and his lovely wife Cindy were dumb enough to come early.....Cindy helped us out greatly...and Greg is one of the best supervisors....Cindy,s ever had..

....after my cooking chores were done...I started makin the rounds saying hey to everone....these are some more of our good friends...Bob n Devon and Renee....and Lauri....
....some other good friends of ours...and fellow Misguided....Dave ad his lovely wife Fran...Jack....and our good friend Momzzzzz...and ofcourse Merlin...whooaaa Merlin...what up with that look ?....I wont rush ya to the grille again...I promise !
....and we cant forget Joe and Pam....you wont meet nicer ..more giving folks then these two...and Pam is one of THE best cooks Ive ever come across....that woman can cook !....Most Excellent ..Lemon Cheesecake...this year Pamela !..
....and with them are a couple more good friends of ours...Ron n Carol...Ron puts on a fish fry every year for all of the Misguided...and I,ll tell ya what...It Rocks !.....he catches all the fish himself...and frys em up to perfection...
....heres our friend Rich...chowing down on a BAB...and by the looks of it..he,s enjoying it quite nicely...Hey Rich...we cut up the jerkey ya bought the next day and served it at the.....Day After The Q Party....it was excellent...love that spicy..HOT..peppery taste....you have to tell us where ya got it !....and sitting next to Rich is the ...Newest Member..of The Notorious Northern Wolfpack.....Bruce...Hey Bruce...were gonna have an .."Official Meeting"....SOON !.....I Promise.....wellllllll...then again....mebbe not..
.....glad you could make it Bruce....were gonna have some great rides this year...and Im sure you,ll enjoy them...
...and sitting with Bruce and Rich were.....yep....the ...X....Grand Poobah..hiz bad self.....Slyck Willie.....hey Bill....Nice Hat !! ..
.....and also seated were a couple who are near and dear to Chiili,s and mine heart.....Dennis and Tammi.....hey Dennis...thanks for the Micro Brewzzzzz.....I know you have *the touch*....when it comes to....Par Excellent Brewski,s !
...and theres that Chili Gurl....makin the rounds with ....another man ?!? .....oh okay...its my buddy Merlin....at least she has good taste..
....mean while...out front of the Chili n Timbr Hacienda....the bikes were lined up down the street....another thing I love about living in a tiny town in the woods....is lining up a BUNCH of motorcycles infront of our pllace so as to....Intimidate the local Sherriff....and wow the neighbors.. we had around 35 bikes all the way down the street this fine day....
...and...dont forget the driveway..
....meanwhile...out back...Linda and her good friend and boyfriend were busy checking out the dessert table..
....and it seems we have started a ...New Tradition...this year...after the party is winding down and over...the folks who are spending the night in town...hangout and we get the fire pit going and start pouring...some liquor.....thats our new friends....Sy and his ridding buddy Bruce...come all the way from Toronto....just hang at our Q for the day....and we were indeed honored to have them.....while they were visiting..we gave bruce a new ..Handle...."Tooty"....I,ll leave it up to you to figger out...why..
.....and with them are a couple of really close friends of ours...Don Tony and his lovely wife Lara...they spent the night at our place and just LOVED that....inflatble bed...right Don Tony ?
...and what good is a fire pit...if ya aint got nothin to "roast"...while yer kickn back..tellin lies ? ..
...thats our good friends...Momz...his wife Damsel Fly....Dave and Lara....roasting up some "dogs"....did I mention we wnet though 6 lbs of hot dogs over the weekend ?
....well.....we were up till after midnight...just hangin out...tellin lies...and downing copious amounts of Cap,n.....the next morning I had visions of..sleeping in...but Chili had other plans for my worn out hyde...
.....like...getting up early....having breakfast with the last of The Misguided at The Graylinf Restaurant....then what else......Canoeing for the day with some other friends of ours !
...sooooo...instead of zzzzzzzzzzzing the day away...I found myself slightly hung over and out on the river on a nice...BRIGHT....sunny day !....Alex and Linda and friends had rented a cabin across town right on teh Ausable River.....
....so there we were....hanging out on the river for the day...which I have to admit...we had a pretty good time...
....the river was flowing...and so was the ...Ice Cold Beer..
....we stopped at ...Canoe Camp...and had a nice lil pic a nic lunch....then finished our adventure...then it was back to our place to make grille up some more ...BAB,s...and dogs.....then we lit up the fire pit again and once more...sat around telling lies....and drinking...copious amounts of Capn...well into the night..
....the next morning we had breakfast again at the Grayling Restaurant...saw our friends off on their journey home....hopped on the bike..and took the short ride back to our place...
.....the house was now totally empty...all our friends...house guest...fellow canoeist....were gone....we strolled out onto the deck and observed the aftermath....it was a HELL uva weeknd...like I said....THE BEST Q we,ve had so far....and we have all our great friends to thank for it...it took me all of yesterday just to ..recoup....from all the partying.....
.....Sooooo....until next year all I have to say is......Heyyyyyy.....wait a minute there my friend....is there still some Capn...left in that bottle ? ..
