lets be realistic, it doesn't matter what political view point schilling has, you give ANYONE $75 million bucks and they're going to rip you off. obamer gave the banks, GM and god knows who else trillions of dollars knowing they'll never pay it back..... (oh yeah, GM's paying it back, but doesn't have to pay taxes on their profits for how many years??)
anytime you deal with money, treat the debter as if they're NEVER going to pay you back, that's why you NEVER do business with family.
i have a holy roller brother that refinanced his house, then let it go into forclosure keepiing the equity. he also has emptied my mothers bank accounts since my father passed away leaving him with POA. i don't have much respect for holy rollers and money, have less respect for liberals and MY MONEY!!

lets be realistic, it doesn't matter what political view point schilling has, you give ANYONE $75 million bucks and they're going to rip you off. I don't agree that "giving anyone 75 million dollars" automatically leads to getting ripped off. In his defense I don't think Schilling was trying to do that at all. By all accounts his company put out a good product in Kingdom of Amalur (the game they produced). To understand why it failed you have to understand the industry and the market and the best games often fail to find an audience. That's why the deal was so fraught with peril. It did not fail for lack of effort, quality or good faith. But for all of the harping about the differences between conservatives and liberals the fact is that they're far more alike than either side would like to admit. What I have an issue with here is Schilling's HYPOCRISY.

I wonder if Schilling was a liberal if that story would of made the very far left MSNBC news. MSNBC sure dont have a problem with tax payer money going to the liberal agenda.

i tried to watch msnbc this morning with that hardball guy, he went on a 10 minute diatribe about Mitt Romney. everything negative of course. i highly doubt that he'd do a like wise story on obammer.

Everyday MSNBC has a discussion about Romney's vast wealth, but Kerry who I believe but would have to check is wealthier but not one word about that, talk about HYPOCRICY, wonder why they are the least rated news station (and I use that term loosely) in America.

I'm not sure why we're now on the subject of news sources vs. the original topic which was about the actual people IN the news... oh wait I know; redirection. I'll bite! Would Fox do a negative story on it's own chosen ones? That is a two way street and if you thing the "liberal media" is the only one that spins and plays favorites then please go on cragslist and buy my bridge. THANKS!

Whatever indeed. Actually, the only one to offer a solid defense of Schilling's behalf is ME. "In his defense I don't think Schilling was trying to do that at all. By all accounts his company put out a good product in Kingdom of Amalur (the game they produced)."Nobody here has really defended Schilling at all (again, except me) unless you count "you should just expect it" as a defense, and I don't. They just ignored the subject of the commentary in favor of yet more bitching about the liberal media.

I think Fox's version contains quotes from the Governer, Senator, Represenative, Senior research analyst, facts and industry background, instead of a rant.

well it's a nice commentary, not a news story. I don't happen to know Mr. Shilling's views or ideology but I'm getting the impression that he should just pack it in. it would be nice if we could get the other side of the story. we don't need another solyindra.
or any kind of the shenanigans of MF Global.
bail outs, don't do'em

I AM a conservative and I do not have all four feet firmly planted in the public trough. do some? undoubtedly I'm not really talking about average guys like you and me. There's a reason why we're average guys. I'm talking about politicians and big businessmen who always find a way to latch their parasitic mouths onto the public. Though average people certainly aren't immune to being hypocrites.
